Our UK Training Facility provides a range of theoretical and practical “hands-on” training courses on disabled aircraft recovery and related matters. These have been designed to support the needs of Airport Fire and Rescue service personnel, Operational Managers, and key-decision makers for airports, airport authorities, airlines and military air force bases.

AMS’s dedicated UK training facility is based at Cotswold Airport. It is an ideal location for aircraft recovery teams who need to practice their techniques on terrain that involves soft, rough or uneven ground, and (given the UK’s weather) in dry or wet conditions.

Practical training depends on the aircraft available at our site, but typically uses B737 or A320 aircraft.

Our 1 Day Aircraft Recovery Awareness Course and courses regarding incident management can be held at Cotswold Airport or at a location specified by the customer (e.g. their own airport, air force base or preferred training centre).

3 Day Aircraft Recovery Training Course:
1 day theory training + 2 days practical training (including an aircraft lift on airbags, aircraft de-bogging / towing and an aircraft fuselage lift). This course is ideal for aircraft recovery teams and airport fire and rescue service personnel at airports or military air force bases.

2 Day Aircraft Recovery Equipment Awareness Course:
1 day Health & Safety / theory training + 1 day practical training on recovering an aircraft. This course is ideal for Operations and Emergency Control Centre staff, Insurance Assessors and aircraft engineers.

1 Day Aircraft Incident Preparedness Training Course:
1 day theory training as an overview of what is involved in aircraft recovery and some of the methods used. This course is ideal for operational managers, compliance managers and key-decision-makers at airports, airport authorities or military air force bases.

If you require course alternative content, specific to the needs of your airport or air force base, please contact us to discuss designing a training solution for your aims and objectives.

At the end of each AMS course successful students are presented with a Certificate of Proficiency.
