AMS "RESCUE PATH"

“ Rescue Path” is an innovative inflatable pathway that has been designed to provide emergency rescue personnel with a safe, stable and ridged platform to gain access to persons trapped on unstable ground.

Rescue Path can, and has been used to rescue people from many different and hazardous environments, some incidents include, frozen lakes, coal slurry, tidal estuaries, mud banks, and even water.

The “Rescue Path” has been specifically designed to be inflated fully, by a standard 1800 litre BA cylinder. The full inflation and extension of the path takes only minutes.

Construction is from a specially woven polyester drop thread fabric. The top and bottom surfaces of the path are joined together by nylon threads. When inflated the threads restrict the spacing between the top and bottom layers, this allows the Rescue path to maintain a constant thickness down its entire length, giving the path its unique flat slab effect. The material is coated with a Neoprene polymer which has exceptional resistance to abrasion and chemical attack. Rescue Path is stowed in a valise and can be carried with ease on a fire truck or rescue vehicle.

The standard Rescue path is 1.3 metres wide and 10 metres long. Each path is fitted with two anchor handles and side-wall rescue lines to provide support for those awaiting rescue.

The standard reach of the Rescue Path can be increased from 10m to almost any distance by adding a second path. The second path can be attached to the first by using the security clips provided, then by “leap frogging” one path in front of another the reach can be increased.

All units are lightweight, easily cleaned and serviced.
